If you are a new chiropractic patient, please book under “New Patient Examination” — even if you have visited our office before for a different type of appointment.
If you are a new acupuncture patient, please book under “New Patient Acupuncture” — even if you have previously been a chiropractic patient at our office.

Jacob Young DC CCEP, is excited to be serving Lee County and the surrounding communities. A graduate of Central Lee High School, Dr. Jake completed his undergraduate studies at Mt. Mercy University, where he was a member of the Men’s Basketball team. Dr. Jake then graduated as Valedictorian of his class at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Following graduation, Dr. Jake and Dr. Jess owned and ran Black & Gold Chiropractic & Wellness in Iowa City, IA for 11 years. During that time Dr. Jake served in many positions for the Iowa Chiropractic Society, including district President, was the Team Chiropractor for the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL, and along with Dr. Jess, won Best Chiropractor for the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area every year since 2016. Dr. Jess Young is a second-generation chiropractor and licensed acupuncturist dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health through natural, holistic care. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Jess combines a strong family legacy in chiropractic medicine with a deep commitment to service and excellence.
Dr. Jess earned her Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2009 while serving her country in the United States Air Force from 2005 to 2011 as a Sergeant in her Security Forces squadron. Her military experience instilled in her a strong sense of discipline, integrity, and dedication—qualities she brings to patient care every day.
Following her military service, Dr. Jess pursued her passion for chiropractic medicine at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she graduated cum laude in 2014. Building on her chiropractic training, she further expanded her expertise by becoming a licensed acupuncturist, allowing her to provide comprehensive, integrative treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.
